Tim Robbins and Adrien Brody join Chinese famine period drama

Movie by

Director Feng Xiaogang's untitled movie about the deadly famine in central China in 1942 during the war against Japan has found two Academy Award-winning actors. Variety reports that Tim Robbins and Adrien Brody have joined the film.

The film is based on Liu Zhenyun's novel "Remembering 1942." Shooting is scheduled to begin this fall to meet a 2012 release date. Zhenyun's novel, which takes place in central China's Henan province, south of Bejing and centers on the" human crisis that evolved as a result of a drought and the government's distraction with the war against Japan's occupying armies."

I loved Robbins in Shawshank Redemption, Arlington Road and War of the Worlds. Brody was great in King Kong. What are your thoughts on this news?
