Bret McKenzie spoke with THR during the premiere of The Muppets. McKenzie scored the film and talked a bit about what it was like workinng on The Hobbit and the possibility of a Flight of the Conchords movie.

Here is what he had to say about Flight of the Conchords:

“We’re gonna try and do a movie,” he said. “We just need a story.”

“I’m gonna go back to New Zealand tomorrow, maybe film it next week. And then edit it the week after,” he joked.  “I don’t know how familiar you are with movies, but there’s a lot of behind the scenes stuff that could take one or two weeks. Probably in about a month we’ll have a premiere.”

I would love to see a Conchords movie, that show was hilarious on HBO. The Muppets was great too, definitely consider checking it out in theaters. What are your thoughts on this news?
