Kiefer Sutherland is considering returning to TV for a leading role in another Fox drama. Deadline reports that he's currently in negotiations to star in Touch, a new pilot from Heroes creator Tim Kring.

Touch is produced by 20th Century Fox TV, who also produced 24. The show is Co-produced by Chernin Entertainment, and centers on "a father (Sutherland, if he signs on) who discovers that his autistic, mute son can predict events before they happen." This is Kring's first pilot since Heroes, he wrote it on spec. Charles McDougall, is in talks to direct the pilot. McDougall has helmed pilots for ABC's Desperate Housewives, The Good Wife and, most recently, Fox's The Chicago Code.

Sutherland is currently starring on Broadway in a revival of Jason Miller's That Championship Season, which is holding the deal up.  The play opened last week and markes Sutherland's Broadway debut. I was a huge fan of Heroes and think that this is good news. I would love to see Sutherland in this role because it would be a nice change for his role on 24.
