Yesterday we revealed a short list of actresses up for the role on Lois Lane in Zack Snyder's upcoming Superman movie. Twilight's Kristen Stewart was on that list, but now a report has surfaced that she's taken herself out of the running for the part. I didn't really care for Stewart being Lois Lane anyway, I'm surprised that they were even looking at her, unless they are looking for an actress that can bite her lip really well.
Apparently the actress isn't interested in getting involved with another big franchise. She was actually caught off guard by the huge success of Twilight, which means she probably thought it was going to suck and bomb just like the rest of us.
Stewart did end up taking a meeting with Snyder and his producer/wife Deborah to talk about the role. Snyder never offered it to her, but he was interested. Stewart ended up passing on it because she wanted to concentrate on working on smaller, independent films. According to the New York Daily news report, Snyder felt “slighted” by the actress and that she “wasted his time.” Which is actually kind of funny.
After all is said and done we can be happy because Kristen Stewart will not be Lois Lane. As for who is still currently in the running for the role, we've got Rachel McAdams, Mila Kunis, Jessica Biel, Dianna Agron, Malin Akerman, Olivia Wilde, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Kristen Bell and Lake Bell. It seems like a lot of people out there are rooting for McAdams. I'm personally on team Wilde, but who would you like to see take on the part of Lois Lane?
