Update On DREW: THE MAN BEHIND THE POSTER & New Clip

The documentary Drew: The Man Behind The Poster is nearly completed according to producer Charles Ricciardi. The film covers the career of poster artist Drew Struzan, whose work includes poster art for such film series, as Back To The FutureIndiana Jones and Star Wars.

Here is what director Erik Sharkey had to say,

"The only problem with having so many hours of interview footage with George Lucas, Harrison Ford, Michael J. Fox, Frank Darabont, Guillermo del Toro and Steven Spielberg, just to name a few, is deciding what to cut out. There are so many interesting stories."

Jeff Yorkes joined the production team this past fall to edit the film. This is good news because Jeff is a fan of Drew's work and has a sincere love for the material. In addition, Drew's son, Christian Struzan has joined the team.

Christian is the President and Creative Director of XL, a creative marketing powerhouse specializing in new media creation and motion picture advertising which will be providing key art and some finishing touches for the film.

You can check out a clip from the documentary via the film's official website. The clip gives us a peek at a new scene discussing Drew's work on Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom (click the image below to see the clip).

This is a must-see documentary for a fan like myself. His poster work is simply amazing and I can't wait to take a look behind the scenes! Is this a film you are looking forward to seeing?
