EW's 25 Greatest Working Directors

RantMovie by Joey Paur

Entertainment Week put together a little list of who they think the 25 greatest working directors are. I can't say I agree with everyone that's on the list or their placing, but it is a good representation of some of the mainstream popular directors, and I do agree with most of the choices.

As the Oscars approach to honor excellence from the past year, we're counting down the most talented, in-demand filmmakers behind the camera today -- from Wes Anderson to Kathryn Bigelow and our No. 1

Check out the full list below but make sure to head on over to EW so you can read why they picked each director.

25. Wes Anderson
24. Mike Leigh
23. Brad Bird
22. J.J. Abrams
21. Spike Lee
20. Edgar Wright
19. Peter Jackson
18. James Cameron
17. David Lynch

15. Kathryn Bigelow

David Fincher is going to take home the Best Director award at the Oscars this year, and he is one of my favorite directors of all time. But where is Ridely Scott, Steven Soderbergh, and Hayao Miyazaki just to name a few? What do you think about the list?
