Craig Gillespie in talks to Direct PRIDE AND PREJUDICE AND ZOMBIES

Lionsgate has been on the hunt for a new director for Seth Grahame-Smith’s awesome zombie novel Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, and it looks like they may have found someone to jump on board. Craig Gillespie, the director of Showtime's The United States of Tara and 2007’s indie drama Lars and the Real Girl, is in talks to take on the highly anticipated zombie film project. He recently finished filming the remake of the 1985 classic Fright Night for DreamWorks Pictures that’s due out in August. If he officially lands the gig it will be interesting to see what kind of vision he has for this story. It's got to be something good if Lionsgate is looking hire him. Mike White was previously attached to direct the big screen film adaptation, but he recently dropped out of the project.

What are your thoughts on Gillespie taking on this film project?
