Dennis Quaid cast in PLAYING THE FIELD

Dennis Quaid has been cast in a new sports comedy being directed by Gabriele Muccino (Seven Pounds) called Playing the Field. He will joint the already cast Gerard Butler, Uma Thurman, Jessica Biel and Noah Lomax. 

In the film Butler is playing a former pro soccer player who finds himself dodging romantic advances from soccer moms after he agrees to coach his son's youth team in an attempt to bond with the boy. Biel is set to play Butler's ex-wife, and Thurman will play a fellow parent trying to get the attention of Butler's character. 

Quaid will be playing one of the coaches on the opposing teams.

The film starts shooting this month in Shreveport, Louisiana.
