FUTURAMA renewed for seventh season, Comedy Central orders 26 episodes!

Futurama has been renewed for it's seventh season with a strong commitment for 26 episodes by Comedy Central. The Matt Groening and David X. Cohen show was brought back to life by the network in 2009, six years after being cancelled by Fox. The first 13 episodes of season 6 averaged 2.5 million viewers. The remaining 13 episodes are set to air this summer. The show's new season will also air in two installments of 13 episodes in 2012 and 2013. This show has a ton of fan support, the Futurama Facebook page grew from 1 million fans to 11 million and growing since it's launch on Comedy Central.
