Paramount moving forward with two JACKASS projects

Movie Johnny Knoxville by

Paramount Pictures is working on two Jackass related projects. The studio has purchased First Man based on a pitch to be written by Matt Spicer & Max Winkler that will be produced by Johnny Knoxville's Dickhouse Entertainment and Priya Swaminathan. Knoxville is set to play "a man whose wife is elected president. A natural hellraiser, he has totally behaved himself during his wife's presidential campaign, only to find the dynamic of their relationship changes after he moves into the White House and becomes First Man. He is prompted to return to  rowdy form."

Winkler and Spicer are behind Ceremony which Magnolia will release April 8 and stars Uma Thurman, Michael Angarano and Lee Pace. The duo also scripted The Adventurers Handbook with Jonah Hill and wrote Whispers In Bedlam which Jason Reitman is directing at Fox Searchlight.

Paramount has also pumped life back into a comedy titled Mustache Riders that the studio bought in 2008.  This project is about "three small-time crooks who set off on an adventure to find a buried treasure with a grizzled old outlaw." This film is also a starring vehicle for Knoxville and his Jackass cohorts Bam Margera and Ryan Dunn. Along for the ride is singer Willie Nelson. Knoxville, Bam, and Dunn plan to do all of their own stunts and the script's being reworked to fit that in. The film is being produced by Broken Lizard, Gerber Pictures, and Dickhouse.

I think these projects sound better than the Jackhass films personally. What are your thoughts?
