William Shatner Gives the Space Shuttle Discovery a nice Star Trek Wake up Call

Early this morning at 3:23 am, 79-year-old actor William Shatner briefly channeled his inner James T. Kirk to deliver a Star Trek inspired message to the crew of space shuttle Discovery.

The crew of the space shuttle woke up to one of the most famous starship captains of all time saying...

Space, the final frontier. These have been the voyages of the space shuttle Discovery. Her 30 year mission: To seek out new science. To build new outposts. To bring nations together on the final frontier. To boldly go, and do, what no spacecraft has done before.

This is the Discovery's final mission. Over the last 30 years the shuttle has made 39 flights and 13 journeys to the International Space Station. The space shuttle Discovery is scheduled to land at Florida's Kennedy Space Center shortly before noon Wednesday. The nearly three-decade shuttle program is scheduled to end later this year.
