Here is our first look at Claire Danes and Mandy Patinkin in Showtime's Homeland. Just last week the series was picked up for a full season. Homeland stars Damian Lewis as a Marine who returns home after enduring eight years as a prisoner of war in Baghdad. Golden Globe winner Claire Danes also stars as a C.I.A. officer who suspects Lewis's character of plotting an attack against the U.S.  Mandy Patinkin plays a veteran CIA Division Chief who mentors Dane’s character.  The pilot is loosely based on the Israeli television series Prisoners of War.

Homeland is written and produced by Howard Gordon and Alex Gansa. They worked on 24, so fans of that show will feel right at home. The series is set to premiere this fall on Showtime.
