Description of Post-Credits End Scene for THOR - Spoilers

Movie ThorSpoiler by Joey Paur

First of all, I'm kicking myself in the ass for watching a poor-quality bootleg video of the post-credits end scene from Thor that I came across online. But I did, and now I'm regretting it. But, for those of you who don't really care to have the ending spoiled for you I'll give a little description of what I saw. The video has since been pulled from YouTube, so I won't be posting it.

Spoilers____________________________

As you know, most of the new Marvel films have a very cool reveal at the end of the movie after the titles role that links one movie to the other. Well, in Thor the final scene links to both Captain America and The Avengers. It also confirms some previous rumors that have been floating around online.

So in the last scene of the movie Dr. Selvig played by Stellan Skarsgård meets up with Nick Fury played by Samuel L. Jackson, in some kind of government S.H.I.E.L.D. location. Fury is standing in front of a table with a large metal box/case on it. They go on to discuss some recent discoveries that Selvig has made in relation to some of the alternate universes. Fury then asks Selvig for his advice on something... and that's what is in the case on the table. Fury opens up the case and inside is the the Tesseract or Cosmic Cube linking the film to Captain America. Selvig then asks what is it, Fury tells him that it is a source of incredible power. After he says this the camera moves a bit revealing what is supposed to be Selvig's reflection, but it's not. Instead we see a reflection of Loki played by Tom Hiddleston. So Loki is actually possessing Selvig. Loki responds to Fury with... "That's very interesting…" Boom, end.

What this tells me is that Loki and the cosmic cube will most likely play a big role in The Avengers. In fact I think it confirms that Loki will be the big bad villain in the movie, which is something I've always thought all along, with Loki using the Hulk to wreck havoc.

I thought this was a great ending for Thor, a a great tie in to the future films. I just wish I would have waited to see it in the theaters. Oh well, what do you all think about this ending of the film?
