Rise of the Apes gets a Title Change... RISE OF THE PLANET OF THE APES

20th Century Fox has changed the title to their Plant of the Apes prequel yet again. At first it was called Caesar, then Caesar: Rise of the Apes, the studio settled on Rise of the Apes for awhile, but today they decided to change it to Rise of the Planet of the Apes

What the hell is up with movie titles these days? Most of them really suck, and this Rise of the Planet of the Apes just seems like to much. I guess Fox just wants the title to have more of a connection to the previous Planet of the Apes films. The next thing you know it will be changed to Rise of Caesar of the Planet of the Apes of Please go See this Movie.

The film was directed by Rupert Wyatt (The Escapist), and it stars James Franco, Freida Pinto, John Lithgow, Andy Serkis and Brian Cox. The movie is an origin story that focuses on the engineering feats that advanced the intelligence in apes and sets off the war for species supremacy. Franco, Lithgow and Pinto star as the scientists who watch the world deteriorate during the ape revolt is led by a chimp named Caesar (Serkis). Cox takes on the role of a heartless owner of a primate sanctuary.

What do you think of the title change?
