Alex Proyas heading to his past with FUTURE PERFECT

Director Alex Proyas is producing and godfathering a new film project called Future Perfect. Proyas is the director of The Crow and Dark City, which developed a cult following in the 1990's. The LA Times reports that this Future Perfect will make fans happy, because it is more similar to his early work. The film is said to be a father-daughter thriller, similar to Hanna and Paper Moon.
The story follows "an older man and a young girl, both eugenically created assassins, must go on the run, in a dynamic that may or may not be that of a father and daughter." Production is based out of Australia, and is said to use a model similar to District 9. This makes sense because it has a young director, high-profile producer, independent financing, and a lower budget.
The film will be directed by Shane Abbess, a young Aussie director known for the spiritual action film Gabriel. He was also in contention to direct Source Code at one point. will helm the film. Brian McGreevy and Lee Shipman wrote the script, They are the same writers behind the Zorro reboot and Dracula.
Proyas is also developing a Dracula film, and a Paradise Lost-type supernatural action film. After I Robot he strayed away from his roots with Knowing starring Nicolas Cage. I really liked Dark City and think this concept has a lot of potential. What are your thoughts?
