Hugh Jackman Might Star in FANTASTIC VOYAGE Remake

There's a strong possibility that Hugh Jackman may end up starring in remake of Fantastic Voyage set to be directed by Shawn Levy. Jackman and Levy recently worked together on the upcoming film Real Steel, and Jackman is at the top of Levy's list of actors to bring on to this new sci-fi film project.

Real Steel looks like it could be a fun movie, but I haven't really liked any of Levy's previous film like the Night at the Museum movies. Jackman, on the other hand, is a fun actor to watch up on the big screen, so it would be cool to see him jump in on the film project. He can only make the movie better. If he ends up taking on the project he will do it while Fox is working on putting together another creative team for The Wolverine since Darren Aronofsky dropped out as the director. They also have to figure out where they are going to shoot the movie since Japan had that massive earthquake.

James Cameron is attached to the 3D sci-fi adventure film as a producer. With his guidance there's a chance this film will turn out being awesome. Of course that didn't help out the film Sanctum at all. What a piece of crap.

The original film was made during the Cold War, and revolved around a team of scientists who are shrunk to atomic size and sent on a miniature submarine to save the life of a defecting Soviet scientist. The story then followed the biological adventures the team encounters in trying to save the scientist and themselves. The new film will follow the original story, except the Cold War element will not be there.

The movie will be filmed from a script written by Laeta Kalogridis who also wrote Shutter Island for Martin Scorsese, and is writing Ghost in the Shell for Avi Arad and DreamWorks and rewriting Nine Lives for Jerry Bruckheimer and Disney.

What do you think about Jackman possibly starring in this film?
