COWBOYS & ALIENS Will Have its World Premiere at Comic-Con

There may be a bunch of studio bowing out of San Diego Comic-Con this year, but Jon Favreau's upcoming film Cowboys & Aliens isn't one of them. This weekend at the Hero Complex Film Festival Favreau said that big things were being planned for the film at the Con this year. Today it was announced that the western sci-fi film would have it's world premiere at the Con, which is completely awesome! Favreau had this to say in a statement,

The worldwide premiere of Cowboys & Aliens will be at Comic-Con, and not only are we going to premiere it there, we’re going to find a way to include as many of the fans as possible. I feel like they’ve come out for me, they’ve supported me.

So this is his way of saying thank you. The movie will be released to the masses on July 29th, but what better place to premiere a great looking geek sci-fi action film like Cowboys & Aliens. Favreau continued saying,

That’s where it all started, and I want to give back. They should have the opportunity to see it first.

Everything is still in the planning stage, but Favreau said he would have more details soon. I just assume that if they want to get as many people as possible to see it, it will most likely have to be in Hall H. We'll give you more details once they've been announced.
