Chris O'Dowd, Lena Dunham and more added to Apatow KNOCKED UP spinoff

Chris O'Dowd' had a breakout performance in Bridesmaids, and is now in negotiations to star in Judd Apatow's untitled Knocked Up spinoff. Lena Dunham and Charlyne Yi, previous Apatow collaborators, have also joined the film. Wyatt Russell, the son of Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn, is also in talks to join the film. Earlier we reportd that Paul Rudd and Leslie Mann were going to reprise the husband-and-wife roles they played in the first film.

Variety reports that Megan Fox and Albert Brooks (Rudd's father in the film) have joined the cast. O'Dowd and Dunham will star as employees of Rudd's indie record company, and Russell will play a hockey player. Yi will reprise her of Jodi from Knocked Up.

O'Dowd has starred in such films as Dinner for Schmucks and just starred in BBC mini The Crimson Petal and the White. He recently wrapped Jennifer Westfeldt's indie comedy Friends With Kids, which also stars  Fox. Dunham is working with Apatow on HBO's Girls, which they are executive producing. Dunham also wrote the directed and will star in the series. She recently won an Indie Spirit Award winner for Tiny Furniture. Yi starred in Paper Heart opposite Michael Cera and is an accomplished standup comic. Russell can be seen this summer in Cowboys and Aliens.

I really liked O'Dowd in Bridesmaids so this is great news. I am interested to see Dunham in action, since I have only seen the trailer for Tiny Furniture. I find Yi to be really funny so it's cool to know she will be back. Cowboys and Aliens looks like it could be really good or bad.
