THOR 2 Set to be Scripted by Don Payne

Yesterday it was announced that Marvel and Disney would release Thor 2 during the summer of 2013. Chris Hemsworth is obviously attached to reprise his role, but unfortunately Kenneth Branagh will not be directing it which is a bloody shame. I honestly believe that Thor would not have been as good as it was without Branagh directing.

Today it's been announced that Marvel has hired Don Payne to write the script for the film. He was one of the writers that worked on the first film, as well as Fantastic Four: Rise Of The Silver Surfer... Yikes! Oh yeah, he also wrote that terrible film My Super Ex-Girlfriend. On the bright side he's also a co-producer on The Simpsons. Well, I hope he doesn't screw this up. I'm sure the script will go through several different drafts, by several different writers anyway.

Thor 2 is set to be released on July 26, 2013. It will be interesting to see how these Marvel films turn out after The Avengers, when everyone goes back to being a lone wolf.
