Elizabeth Banks joins cast of WHAT TO EXPECT WHEN YOU'RE EXPECTING
ElizabethBanks (The 40-Year-Old Virgin, upcoming The Hunger Games) has joined the cast of Lionsgate's film adaptation of the worldwide bestselling book What to Expect When You're Expecting. Banks will star in the film along with Cameron Diaz, Jennifer Lopez, Brooklyn Decker and Anna Kendrick, with filming slated to begin this summer for a May 11, 2012 release.
Banks' character is "baby-crazy - the author of a children's book about breast feeding and owner of The Breast Choice boutique, she is militant in her beliefs about what makes a good mother until she gets pregnant for the first time."
The film is being directed by Kirk Jones (Waking Ned Devine, Nanny McPhee) from a script by Heather Hach and re-written by Shauna Cross (Whip It). The film is based on the book by Heidi Murkoff that has been on theNewYorkTimes bestseller list for over 500 weeks.
I liked Banks in Virgin and am interested in seeing her in Hunger Games. She was good in The Next Three Days as well. I think that she is the best part of this cast, since I am not a huge Diaz or Lopez fan. What are your thoughts on this news?
