CABIN IN THE WOODS Finally Gets a Release Date!

Lionsgate has officially given Joss Whedon's long awaited horror film Cabin In The Woods a release date! It's set to come out on Friday, April 13th 2012. Thank goodness, I was beginning to think this film would never see the light of day. But, the date is set and I'm excited to see it!

I figured that they would wait around until the release date of Whedon's The Avengers, and that's exactly what they've done. The Avengers is set to come out a month later on May 4th 2012. Cabin in the Woods stars Thor's Chris Hemsworth, Richard Jenkins, Bradley Whitford, Amy Acker and Fran Kanz. Are you excited that the film's got a release date? Or are you over the hype?

There's a lot of scary monsters. It's a scary movie. It is about a cabin in the woods. You've figured it out. Yeah, it's about a cabin in the woods. It does take from the sort of formula of the horror movie of this group of young kids who go away to a cabin in the woods for the weekend, and everything that happens and what you think is supposed to happen.
