Joan Allen and Albert Finney reprising roles in THE BOURNE LEGACY

Movie The Bourne Legacy by

Joan Allen and Albert Finney are in talks to reprise their roles in The Bourne Legacy, Variety reports. Since Matt Damon will not be returning as Jason Bourne, this sounds like some good news to insure there is storyline continuity. The film is being directed by Tony Gilroy from a script he penned about "another assasin -- not Jason Bourne -- who trained in the same program," to be played by Jeremy Renner. Other newcomers inlcude Rachel Weisz and Oscar Isaaks, with Edward Norton in talks to play a villain.

Allen starred in The Bourne Supremacy as Pam Landry, "a CIA agent trying to capture Bourne"; she reappered in the third chapter, The Bourne Ultimatum. Finney also appeared in a small role in Ultimatum as "a doctor overseeing the assassin training project."

I am actually interested in this film because of the cast, which has gotten better with this casting news. I think that Renner will be a great lead and Weisz will be good opposite him. What are your thoughts on this news?
