Rosario Dawson and Vincent Cassel join Danny Boyle's TRANCE

Rosario Dawson has landed the female lead in the Danny Boyle-directed Fox Searchlight drama Trance. Deadline reports that she will join James McAvoy and Vincent Cassel, who are both in negotiations to play the male leads in a film that will start production in September. McAvoy's would play "the inside man in an art heist that goes wrong. He runs afoul of an accomplice (Cassel), and Dawson will play a woman who develops an unusual relationship with both men." The film is said to be a smaller budget edgy film in the same vein as Shallow Grave and Trainspotting.

Boyle is once again working with Christian Colson, his producing partner. He will be directing the film in London after he directs the opening ceremonies for the Olympics. The plan is to start cutting the film in August 2012 to allow forr Fox Searchlight to release it in March 2013.

I think that Rosario Dawson is perfect for this role, she has such a great on-screen presence and will be great under Boyle's direction. McAvoy and Cassel are great actors so this is shaping up to be a great cast overall. What are your thoughts on this news?
