2011-08-18T24:49:54-0700 Amy Paffrath is a face you’ll soon get used to seeing on MTV. She has lots of cool gigs going on including hosting three "Jersey Shore" specials called "Jersey Shore After Dark" which will air on September 1, 15 and 29th. She’s also the host of the popular MSN series "Last Night on TV" and first and foremost an actress, she hits the screen later this year in the film musical I Kissed a Vampire, which also stars Lucas Grabeel ("Switched at Birth") and Drew Seeley (Another Cinderella Story, High School Musical). Amy is also the face of SIBU Beauty. Check out my latest Versus with the stunningly awesome Amy Paffrath as we talk about all of these projects and more!

Brian S- First off, how'd you get the cool new gig on MTV?
Amy Paffrath- Funny story actually!! My friend Damon has been working with the Jersey Shore for the 4 th and 5th season. There was a discussion about who they would have host this years After Hours. Apparently the EP Sally Ann said quick everyone yell out your favorite host! Damon yelled out my name! Of course then Sally Ann did her research and must've liked what she saw because then my agents were contacted, we set a meeting and before in knew it I was off to Seaside heights! I'm eternally grateful for Damon’s recommendation!
Brian S- I wanted to be a MTV VJ when I was younger, tell me how cool this is for you working for MTV?
Amy Paffrath- Um...ME TOO! It was me ultimate dream to host TRL. Oh lord I thought it was just the coolest thing ever! I wanted to BE Vanessa Manillo! It was very unexpected to get this gig and I'm thrilled to pieces for the opportunity, it's beyond cool to me that I'm going to be on MTV. I'm totally geeking out, it's surreal. Hollywood never ceases to amaze me. That’s why i always say dream BIG! They really do come true in some shape or form.

Brian S- You have some Jersey Shore specials coming up too, tell me when these will air and your experience with the gang.
Amy Paffrath- I’ve been told they air Sept 1st, 15th and 29th. I can't wait! I had a great time in Seaside. It was very cool to be in the thick of where all the action happens. Everyone was extremely nice to me. I was impressed that they were so open and honest. they were game to talk about everything I asked. You'll have to tune in to see what topics we covered!
Brian S- Do you have a crazy story you can share from the Jersey Shore filming?
Amy Paffrath- I wish! Honestly in was hoping for a wild night out with the cast but it was strictly professional. I was back in my hotel room alone by 10 pm each night. It wasn't nearly as crazy as I'd braced myself for. But I had an awesome time. I did walk around on the infamous boardwalk on my last night there. It was pretty wild! I met Pauly's self proclaimed stalker at the store she works at. From the way she was grilling me, I don't doubt she has some fierce stalking skills!

Brian S- What else will you be getting into at MTV?
Amy Paffrath- The after hours specials are all that I am committed to for now. Hopefully the network will like what I did and ask me back for more! I'd LOVE to do something on the red carpet for the VMA's! Just throwing that out there!
Brian S- What's been your weirdest or craziest experience so far?
Amy Paffrath- This year has been a whirlwind. I’ve gotten to do some really amazing things. I went to Brazil in April for the Fast 5 junket and premiere. It was absolutely a dream. I got to stare into Paul Walkers dreamy eyes, rub Tyrese's beautiful bald head, and rap to "baby" with Ludacris. That's pretty crazy if say so myself! I also got to meet some fans while I was in Brazil! That was such an amazing experience. Big hugs to Gustavo and Gabi for coming all the way from Sao Paulo to Rio to meet me. Not Vin Diesel, ME! Wow, that's weird to think about. Very grateful to have fans, but it's still weird for me to accept that people care about what I'm doing. I'm so appreciative of their support.

Brian S- You're also an actress! Can you tell me about any projects you have and when we can be on the lookout for them?
Amy Paffrath- Yes! I recently shot a small but memorable part in a film called "Dumbbell's.". I had such a fun time shooting with the incredible cast. I was in the boys club as my scenes were with Andy Milonakous, Nick Nicotera and Erwin Stone. But I'm a force to be reckoned with and you'll see that I showed them who's boss. The film was written by and stars the sexy and talented Brian Drolet and Hoyt Richards. It has cameos by Fabio, Frenchie Davis, Jaleel White and Tom Arnold. I'm so excited about this film I really think it's something special. They are hoping to get into Sundance so fingers crossed!
Brian S- You also host a show on MSN. Tell me a little about this.
Amy Paffrath- I do! It's a daily recap show highlighting the best moments of the most popular shows. It's super fun, I get to watch tv for a living! Its a dream job. I write to the clips I chose and get to have an opinion about what I'm watching. Its great to be able to give my own comedic take on popular TV shows from a fan perspective.

Brian S- You are the SIBU beauty, explain!
Amy Paffrath- I am the spokes model for an incredible line of Beauty products called Sibu Beauty. It is an all natural earth friendly line that approaches beauty from the inside out. He line features ingestible products rich in vitamins powered by the Sea buckthorn berry. It's loaded with omegas that help give you clear skin, healthy hair and strong nails. There are also amazing topical products to help fight signs of aging and protect against the elements. I'm obsessed with the products. They are gentle, yet powerful.
Brian S- Do you have a website or Twitter where everybody can find you online?
Amy Paffrath- Yup! www.amypaffrath.com and @amypaffrath on Twitter
