Universal Pictures has released the first teaser trailer for their up coming film American Reunion, which is the fourth big screen installment of the American Pie franchise. I'm actually looking forward to another slice of pie, It will be fun to revisit these characters and see where they are in their lives. I think this will end up being another fun film.
The new trailer gives us no actual footage from the film, just a collection of photos of the cast, but it's still a nice little tease.
The movie was directed by Jon Hurwitz and Hayden Schlossberg, and it stars Jason Biggs, Alyson Hannigan, Chris Klein,Natasha Lyonne, Thomas Ian Nicholas, Tara Reid, Seann William Scott, Mena Suvari, Eddie Kaye Thomas, Jennifer Coolidge, and Eugene Levy.
Here's the Synopsis for the film:
In the comedy American Reunion, all the American Pie characters we met a little more than a decade ago are returning to East Great Falls for their high-school reunion. In one long-overdue weekend, they will discover what has changed, who hasn’t and that time and distance can’t break the bonds of friendship. It was summer 1999 when four small-town Michigan boys began a quest to lose their virginity. In the years that have passed, Jim and Michelle married while Kevin and Vicky said goodbye. Oz and Heather grew apart, but Finch still longs for Stifler’s mom. Now these lifelong friends have come home as adults to reminisce about—and get inspired by—the hormonal teens who launched a comedy legend.
American Reunion is set for release on April 6th 2012. Watch the tease trailer below and tell us what you think!
Scott told people, "In many respects we've grown up a lot. But on the other hand we haven't grown up at all. On-set, Jason Biggs was farting up a storm, Chris Klein was belching, and Eddie Kaye Thomas and Biggs were hitting each other in [the groin]."
Biggs said in a statement that, "We realized that no matter how much we may have changed individually, as a group we will always be connected and have a special chemistry that arises immediately when we're together."
Scott adds, "We can't help but be reminded that a lot of us started off our careers together." He goes on to talk about Stifler saying, "We didn't put any rules on what he would say or what he would do. He is way crazier than we have ever seen him."
