Isaac Asimov's THE CAVES OF STEEL getting live-action adaptation from Fox

Isaac Asimov's The Caves of Steel is set for live-action adaptation. Deadline reports that 20th Century Fox has tapped Henry Hobson to direct the film witn John Scott 3 to adapt the murder mystery that first arrives on bookshelves in 1954. Hobson is a highly trained graphic designer who specializes in creating inventive title sequences for films like Sherlock Holmes, so this should look pretty cool. Scott is also a good fit for the project. On his downtime he takes photos of X-ray photons in deep space for NASA.
Simon Kinberg (who wrote X-Men) will produce the producer under his Genre Films banner which is currently producing Neil Blomkamp's Elsyium for the studio. The story is similar to that of Fox's hit adaptation of I, Robot. The Caves of Steel is "a murder mystery that takes place 1000 years in the future, on an overpopulated earth where there is a phobia about robots. The title refers to giant city complexes that are necessary because earth is so overpopulated. While robots are used for labor in outlying “spacer worlds” where the rich live on spacious parcels, the robots are outlawed on earth. A Spacer Ambassador lobbying to loosen earth’s anti-robot restrictions is found dead, his chest imploded by an energy blaster, and a detective is matched with a human-looking robot to solve the crime."
I can not wait to see this story come to life on the big screen. I, Robot was good, so lets hope that Fox continues to do justice to Asimov's story. What are your thoughts?
