DEVIL INSIDE Director Has New Horror Film In the Works

Movie by

Director William Brent Bell must have made a deal with the devil, because he has another horror film in the works. THR reports that Sierra/Affinity and Incentive Filmed Entertainment are financing and producing his next movie. This should be no surprise since The Devil Inside opened at the number one spot this weekend, with $34 million.

Bell will direct the untitled project based on a script he co-wrote with Matthew Peterman. He plans on starting production in Romania this April. The project is being produced by Peterman, Steven Schneider, and Morris Paulson via their production company Prototype. The project will be shopped internationally by Sierra/Affinity during next month's European Film Market in Berlin.

We don't have a plot to share at this time, but it is reported that the horror film will be in the found-footage style once again. Here is what Sierra/Affinity CEO Nick Meyer had to say:

"From day one, we have been huge fans of this filmmaking team and the way they have crafted a unique movie-going experience with The Devil Inside. These are filmmakers we know and trust and they bring an original voice and style to our next project that will once again introduce audiences to a new expectaiton of what one can define as a genre film."

I am getting sick and tired of found-footage films. Who the hell finds this footage is what I would like to know. This style of filming is completely overused. The problem is that audiences continue to pay to see these movies. Are you excited about seeing another found-footage horror movie?
