One thing we know for sure from these recently released photos from director Gore Verbinski's The Lone Ranger, is that the movie is going to look amazing! There are some beautifully awesome shots shown here featuring Tonto (Johnny Depp) and the Ranger (Armie Hammer) and a couple of chaotic looking train sequences. Hopefully the story and script for this massively budgeted film will be just as impressive. We'll find out more about the movie this Tuesday when the first trailer is released!
When speaking with USA Today Hammer had this to say about the characters,
This is all about two guys who are on the same path, but who have come from two very different worlds.
Verbinski goes on to talk about the challenge of reinventing the story,
The challenge was to turn the story on its head and reinvent it. Everyone has heard about the Lone Ranger, but not from the only other who was there -- Tonto.
Jerry Bruckheimer produced the film that also stars Tom Wilkinson, William Fichtner, Barry Pepper, James Badge Dale, Ruth Wilson and Helena Bonham Carter. Let us know what you think about the photos! Do you think Verbinski is going to pull of a great western? I sure hope so!
