Tom Hardy and Noomi Rapace to Join ANIMAL RESCUE

Tom Hardy (Dark Knight Rises) and Noomi Rapace (Prometheus) are in negotiations with Fox Seachlight Pictures to join the drama Animal Rescue. The movie will be directed by Bullhead director Michael R. Roskam from a script written by Gone Baby Gone author Dennis Lehane.

The story is set on the outskirts of Boston, and focuses on "a man who wants to shed his criminal path but somehow gets mixed up in a bad heist and a killing resulting from a lost and contested pit bull."

This will be the next film that Hardy does before he takes on the big screen adaptation of Splinter Cell. Another film he's set to star in is director Doug Liman's film Everest where he'll play British mountain climber George Mallory on his quest to become the first person to scale Mt. Everest.

Hardy is also producing a couple of projects with Tobey Maguire and Leonardo DiCaprio. He will star in one and potentially star in the other. In one of the films Hardy will play "a former Special Forces soldier who signs on with a friend to work in the bush, training rangers to fight off the poachers decimating the rhino and elephant populations in Zimbabwe." The second film that he might be in with Maguire and DiCaprio focuses on "the trafficking industry that exploits the global market for illicit parts from slain animals that are used as aphrodisiacs and other ridiculous purposes."

As you can see Hardy has got a lot of projects on his plate, which isn't surprising because he's a great actor. I'm looking forward to seeing how all these projects turn out.
