Tom Hiddleston Wanted to Direct THOR: THE DARK WORLD

In a recent interview with Thor and Avengers co-star Tom Hiddleston, he reveals that he approached Marvel president Kevin Fegie, and asked him about the possibility of letting him direct Thor: The Dark World. When Empire Magazine asked the actor if he'd be interested in directing a Thor film this was his response,

Yes, I do. I did ask, half-jokingly, Kevin Feige about directing Thor 2 and he said, 'Do you have something to show me?' I said no. He said, 'If you made something and showed me, I might consider it.' But it's better for the world that he said no. It would be such a responsibility, but I think I'd enjoy it.

It's not uncommon for actors to make a transition into directing, and I think it would have been cool to see Hiddleston take on Thor. Maybe some where down the road he'll give a solid pitch and be able to direct one, it's awesome that Feige is actually open to the idea. But as of right now, I think Alan Taylor is the right director for The Dark World, and I love what I've seen from the set photos so far.

Would you like to see Hiddleston eventually direct a Thor movie? Or any other Marvel film for that matter?
