ROOM 237 - The Shining Kubrick Doc Picked Up by IFC

Room 237 was one of my favorite films at The Sundance Film Festival. Room 237 is a documentary that explores several crazy theories surrounding Stanley Kubrick's 1980 classic horror film The Shining. These hidden meanings are explored in nine segments, and it features voice overs from several different Shining fanatics while using footage from Kubrick's movie to show examples of their conclusions. You can read our wonderful review of the film right here

This truly is a fascinating documentary, one that needs to be seen by everyone that is a fan of Kubrick's horror masterpiece. I'm happy to say that the doc has been acquired by IFC Films, so you'll get your chance soon enough to watch it. According to Deadline, the distribution company will release the film later this year simultaneously in theaters and Video On Demand.

I loved the doc, and regardless of what I believed and didn't believe in this movie, in the end it still blew my mind. I'll never watch The Shining the same way again.
