First Look at Mark Wahlberg on the Set of Michael Bay's PAIN AND GAIN
Mark Wahlberg looks incredibly beefed up in this first image of him on the set of Michael Bay's upcoming low budget film project Pain and Gain... low budget for Bay is about $20 million dollars. Is it just me or does Wahlberg's body look uncomfortably swollen?
The film is based on a true story and has been compared to the Coen Brothers Fargo. The movie is based on a Miami New Times article from 1999, and it follows a pair of Florida bodybuilders who get caught up in an extortion ring and a kidnapping scheme that goes terribly wrong.
The script was penned by Captain America scribes Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely, and it will be interesting to see what Bay can do with a movie that doesn't have any kind of explosions. I think this movie will show us how good of a director Bay really is, so it should be interesting.
