Paramount Pictures has released a new international TV spot for Jon Chu's G.I. Joe: Retailation. There's a few new quick bits of footage in the trailer, but nothing mind blowing. The spot seems to center around our favorite Cobra assassin Storm Shadow. The character is apparently going to have a bigger role in the sequel, which I don't think any of us will complain about.

Here's Plot Synopsis:

A follow-up to the 2009 release of G.I. JOE: RISE OF THE COBRA, which grossed over $300M worldwide, Paramount Pictures, MGM and Skydance Productions, in association with HASBRO and di Bonaventura Pictures, commences production on G.I. JOE: RETALIATION. In this sequel, the G.I. Joes are not only fighting their mortal enemy Cobra; they are forced to contend with threats from within the government that jeopardize their very existence.

The movie will be released in theaters on June 29th, 2012, and I can't wait. You can tell that the director of the movie is a fan of the franchise, and I think he's created a movie that the fans will enjoy.
