Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight Rises has unsurprisingly been given a PG-13 rating by the MPAA. I think we all knew it wasn't going to get a PG or R rating, and the first two films were given a PG-13 rating, but now it's official. The MPAA says the film got the rating for “intense sequences of violence and action, some sensuality, and language.” The one difference on this rating that wasn't included in the first two films is the whole sensuality thing. I imagine we can all thank Catwoman for that. There's no doubt Nolan wanted to make her freakin' sexy. The definition of sensuality is a follows, "The enjoyment, expression, or pursuit of physical, esp. sexual, pleasure." I guess we can assume that Bruce Wayne and Selina Kyle are going to have some fun together.
I think Nolan took The Dark Knight to the limit with the PG-13 rating, it was an incredibly dark film. I imagine he's done the same thing with The Dark Knight Rises. I believe he's he's once again pushed the limits of the rating as far as it could go, giving us yet another hardcore batman film that we will all enjoy! Is there anything you'd like to add?
