New Trailer for Disney's TRON: UPRISING Animated Series
Disney XD has released a great new trailer for their Tron: Uprising animated series. I love the world of Tron, and I enjoyed the last live-action film. It was basically a live-action animated movie, so I think animation is a perfect medium for this world and these characters. It looks like an exciting show that Tron fans will have a blast watching. I'm looking forward to it.
Here's the show's description:
Beck is a young program who becomes the skillful leader of a revolution inside the computer world of The Grid. His mission is to free his home and friends from the reign of the villainous Clu 2 and his henchman General Tesler. Beck will be trained by Tron - the greatest warrior the Grid has ever come to know. Tron will not only teach Beck the fighting and light cycle skills he needs to challenge this brutal military occupation, but he will be a guide and mentor to him as he grows beyond his youthful, impulsive nature into a courageous, powerful, strong leader. Destined to become the next Tron of the system, Beck adopts Tron's persona and becomes the archenemy of General Tesler and his oppressive forces.
The series stars the voices of Elijah Wood, Emmanuelle Chriqui, Mandy Moore, Nate Corddry, Lance Henriksen, Paul Reubens (Pee-Wee Herman), Reginald VelJohnson and Tron himself, Bruce Boxleitner.
The series is set to premeire on June 7th, on Disney XD, but Disney has planned a special half-hour Tron "prelude" next month called Tron: Uprising, Beck's Beginning, that will air on the flagship Disney Channel on May 18th.
