Vince Vaughn To Star in STARBUCK for DreamWorks

Movie Vince Vaughn by

Vince Vaughn may have found his next project after the upcoming comedy The Watch. Variety is reporting that he's in negotiations to topline DreamWorks' remake of the French-Canadian hit Starbuck. Vaughn would play "a middle-aged man whose life is turned upside down when he learns he has fathered 533 children through sperm donation. When a few hundred of the children express an irrepressible need to meet their father, the donor codenamed Starbuck, he must decide whether he will step up and reveal his identity."

Ken Scott directed the original film, and is set to write and direct the remake. Andre Rouleau is on board to produce, while Scott Mednick will exec produce. Filming could begin later this year if all goes as planned. The original was released in Canada in July and opened in a handful of international territories last year.

Vaughn will also be seen in Stephen Frears' gambling comedy Lay the Favorite. He is also going to re team with Owen Wilson for Shawn Levy's Interns, and also has a revamped version of The Rockford Files.

This sounds like it could be interesting for sure. Vaughn is hit or miss for me in films as of late, so I am not going to get my hopes up right now. What is your favorite comedy that he's starred in?
