EVIL DEAD and ELYSIUM Comic-Con Banners

Here's a few cool photos from San Diego Comic-Con showing us a few banners and set ups for Sami Raimi's Evil Dead remake and Neill Blomkamp's (District 9) sci-fi thriller Elysium

It would be awesome to be surprised by some Evil Dead footage at Comic-Con! I guess if it does happen it will be during the Sony panel. The fact that they have a banner for the film up at the Con tells me there might actually be something. Shooting for the film will be completed later this month, so there would be footage to show if they decided to bring some!

Five twenty-something friends become holed up in a remote cabin where they discover a Book Of The Dead and unwittingly summon up dormant demons living in the nearby woods, which possess the youngsters in succession until only one is left intact to fight for survival.

The movie is being directed by Fede Alvarez directed the remake, and it stars Jane Levy (Suburgatory) as Mia, Shiloh Fernandez (Deadgirl, Red Riding Hood) as David, Lou Taylor Pucci (Carriers) as Eric, Jessica Lucas (Cloverfield) as Olivia, and Elizabeth Blackmore (Legend of the Seeker) as Natalie.

Evil Dead is set to hit theaters April 12th, 2013.

Then there's Blomkamp's next film Elysium, which includes photos of posters, banners, and awesome looking props from the film including some aircraft! We'll end up seeing our first footage of the film at the Con, but word on the street the movie is going to be incredible!

In the year 2159, two classes of people exist: the very wealthy who live on a pristine man-made space station called Elysium, and the rest, who live on an overpopulated, ruined Earth. Secretary Rhodes (Jodie Foster), a hard line government official, will stop at nothing to enforce anti-immigration laws and preserve the luxurious lifestyle of the citizens of Elysium. That doesn’t stop the people of Earth from trying to get in, by any means they can. When unlucky Max (Matt Damon) is backed into a corner, he agrees to take on a daunting mission that, if successful, will not only save his life, but could bring equality to these polarized worlds.

I can't wait to see the panel that's been planned for this movie! We'll have more details for you on the film as they unfold, so stay tuned!
