Jessica Alba Will Play a Hit and Run Astronaut in WEIGHTLESS

Looks like Jessica Alba will be playing an astronaut in a new thriller called Weightless. The story is set in the near-future and centers "on a female astronaut who causes a fatal motorcycle accident. She then flees the scene of the collision so as to not lose her spot on the space shuttle's next flight."

The movie is being directed by Milo Addica for Myriad Pictures, and it will be his first time directing a feature film. He's a screenwriter that's worked on films such as Monster's Ball, Birth, and The King.

Alba is currently reprising her roles in Sin City 2 and Machete Kills 2. Can you see Alba as an astronaut? I know she played one in Fantastic Four, but even for a comic book movie that was a hard one for me to believe.
