CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER - More Details and New Art

Thanks to Marvel President Kevin Feige, we've got a few more little details to share with you about Captain America: The Winter Soldier. There's also a cool new piece of concept art for the movie featuring The Winter Soldier. While talking to EW, Feige talks about why Cap is hanging around with S.H.I.E.L.D. and reveals that he's uncomfortable there and with Nick Fury.

We weren't going back to World War II. Cap cannot travel in time. So while Tony can go home to Malibu and Thor goes up to Asgard and Hulk can sort of ride the rails, Cap was stuck. So Cap does stay with S.H.I.E.L.D. because he has nowhere else to go. But he's not necessarily comfortable there. And just as he's given permission to let go of the past and to focus on the modern world, a ghost comes up. With the Greatest Generation in World World II, there's a tendency to reflect on that period and say, 'Things were black and white back then, and now it's hard to know who the bad guys are.' 'We wanted to play on that a little with Cap being uncomfortable with the way S.H.I.E.L.D., and in particular Nick Fury, operates.

Captain America has always been one of my favorite comic book characters, and I love that this sequel is going to almost be a mini Avengers team-up movie with Cap teaming up with Black Widow and The Falcon. I've said it before, and I'll say it again, I'd love to see a Marvel movie in which Iron Man and The Hulk team up for some kind of adventure. Anyway, I'm looking forward to seeing how The Winter Soldier turns out.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier will pick-up where Marvel’s The Avengers left off, as Steve Rogers struggles to embrace his role in the modern world and teams up with Natasha Romanoff, aka Black Widow, to battle a powerful yet shadowy enemy in present-day Washington, D.C.
