Eddie Murphy Officially Set for BEVERLY HILLS COP 4

Movie Eddie Murphy by Joey Paur

Last week TV series producer Shawn Ryan said that his Beverly Hills Cop TV show wasn't picked up by CBS, but also said that Paramount Pictures was looking to develop another feature film.

The studio seems to be moving fast on the project, as they've locked Eddie Murphy in to reprise his role as Alex Foley, and they've hired Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol writers Josh Appelbaum and Andre Nemec to write the script.

The Beverly Hills Cop franchise is great, and I hope that this fourth film will actually bring back the hilarious comedy style of the Eddie Murphy from the '80s. I hate the movies he makes these days. I'm sure the studio will go and make it a mediocre PG-13 comedy though. I'll be surprised if they allow it to get an 'R' rating.

How do you think the fourth installment of this movie will turn out?
