Marvel's BIG HERO 6 - D23 Panel and New Photo

Disney Animation showed off a little bit of their first fully animated Marvel film, Big Hero 6. This movie is going to be awesome! The story centers around a 14-year-old boy named Hiro and his robot. What's great about this robot is that it's a soft huggable inflatable robot called BayMax, with a small endoskeleton that walks like a penguin. The kid basically tricks it out with different kinds of really cool body armor that can do different things.

Hiro puts a team together that consists of GoGo Tomago, Honey Lemon, Wasabi-No Ginger, and Fred, known as Fredzilla in the comics. All of the powers that they have come from technical and mech upgrades invented by Hiro.

The movie looks unlike anything Disney has ever done before, and I love it! Big Hero 6 is going to be an incredibly fun movie that both kids and adults are sure to enjoy. The tone and style of this story is perfect for a feature film, and it's definitely something to look forward too!

Above you'll find a new image from the film of Hiro and BayMax sitting on a balloon of looking over the fictional city of San Fransokyo, a combination of San Francisco and Tokyo.

Here's a description from Disney:

Walt Disney Animation Studios’ “Big Hero 6” hit the D23 Expo in style, welcoming director Don Hall (“Winnie the Pooh”) to the stage with a story presentation, including concept art and a sizzle piece designed to build excitement for the action comedy adventure.
“Big Hero 6” features brilliant robotics prodigy Hiro Hamada, who finds himself in the grips of a criminal plot that threatens to destroy the fast-paced, high-tech city of San Fransokyo. With the help of his closest companion—a robot named Baymax—Hiro joins forces with a reluctant team of first-time crime fighters on a mission to save their city. Inspired by the Marvel comics of the same name, and featuring comic-book style action and all the heart and humor audiences expect from Walt Disney Animation Studios, the CG-animated “Big Hero 6” hits theaters in 3D on Nov. 7, 2014.
