EXTRA LIFE 2013 - Geektyrant 4 Tykes is Live!
Extra Life: A Chance to help kids who through no fault of their own are battling sickness, illness, and things no child should have to face. Extra Life is our chance to come together and show our support for these little ones. Here’s how it works.
You can choose to sponsor our Extra Life team, codenamed GeekTyrant 4 Tykes (awesome name right?), by donating $1 or $100, the amount makes no difference, or you can just spread the word for us to anyone you know. The money goes to Children’s Miracle Network hospitals all across the US and Canada, and we are supporting the Monroe Caroll Children’s Network Hospital at Vanderbilt. So now that you know why we’re doing this, here's the when. On November 2nd everyone involved will hop online (or sit at their table) to play some games for 24 hours. You don’t have to play for that long, and you can take as many breaks as you want, and you probably should take a break or two, even if its just to reload on Fanta. Once we get closer to the date we’ll be announcing who will be online and what the IDs and gamertags are. We will also be doing some live gamecasting, and more details about that will come closer to the event.
Like I said, if you can’t donate your money that’s fine, just please donate your time by spreading the word. Any difference we can make in a child’s life is supremely worth it, and I'm pretty sure everyone here at Geektyrant and Gametyrant feels the same way.
