ALIEN: COVENANT - Eerie Photos from the Set and Explosive Video

Ridley Scott is currently shooting Alien: Covenant in an undisclosed location in Sydney, Australia. Someone found out where they were shooting and ended up snapping a few photos that reveal some creepy, eerie images. I also included a video from the New Zealand set featuring an explosion.

The set photos feature some intense visuals of scorched human bodies that are twisted in agony and despair. It’s pointed out that some of these people are being attacked by extra-terrestrial beings. There are no details on what this all means, so it’s completely open for fan speculation. One thing is for sure, it looks pretty horrifying.

Ridley Scott returns to the universe he created in Alien with Alien: Covenant, the second chapter in a prequel trilogy that began with Prometheus -- and connects directly to Scott's 1979 seminal work of science fiction. Bound for a remote planet on the far side of the galaxy, the crew of the colony ship Covenant discovers what they think is an uncharted paradise, but is actually a dark, dangerous world -- whose sole inhabitant is the "synthetic" David (Michael Fassbender), survivor of the doomed Prometheus expedition.

The film is said to include every version of xenomorph, and Scott is shooting for a hard R rating. The movie also stars Katherine Waterston, Demian Bichir, Jussie Smollett, and Danny McBride. Alien: Covenant is set to be released on August 4th, 2017.

A video recorded at Milford Sound of an explosion at the airlock set that had been constructed at the foot of Mitre Peak. Recorded by a crewman on one of the sight seeing cruises that operates at Milford Sound.
