This Animated Short is a Radical Tribute to '80s Movies and Pop Culture — MALL 84
Any of you who grew up in the '80s know how much of a magical era it was. I loved the '80s — I loved the movies, the music, and even some of the ridiculous styles. Animator Gervais Merryweather has created an incredibly fun animated short that pays tribute to the '80s in the greatest of ways.
It's called Mall 84, the whole thing is set in a mall, and it's packed full of movie and pop culture references. It also does a great job reminding us what life was like with the clothing styles, setting, attitudes, and atmosphere. I loved this short and it definitely hits you with a wave of nostalgia.
