ANT-MAN - 2 New TV Spots and Info on How it Will Set Up Marvel’s Phase 3
Marvel has released two new TV spots for Ant-Man, and they both include new footage for your enjoyment. The first includes footage of Hope Van Dyne (Evangeline Lilly) teaching Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) how to fight, and the second puts the focus on Michael Douglas' Hank Pym. It includes a couple of spoilery shots so proceed with caution.
We also have some information regarding how Ant-Man will set up Marvel’s Phase Three films. The information comes from Kevin Feige himself in an interview with THR.
“The truth is, there is so much in Ant-Man: introducing a new hero, introducing a very important part of technology in the Marvel universe, the Pym particles. Ant-Man getting on the Avengers' radar in this film and even – this is the weirdest part, you shouldn't really talk about it because it won't be apparent for years – but the whole notion of the quantum realm and the whole notion of going to places that are so out there, they are almost mind-bendingly hard to fathom. It all plays into Phase Three.”
Ant-Man is obviously going to play a huge role in the Marvel cinematic universe, and it going to be fun seeing the ramifications of this first film play out over the course of Phase Three of the MCU.
Ant-Man hits theaters on July 17th!
