Arnold Schwarzenegger isn't Done with the TERMINATOR Franchise Yet

As you may have heard, there were recent reports revolving around Arnold Schwarzenegger not wanting to do any more Terminator films. Well, turns out that's not true. During a recent interview with Fandango, the actor called the previous reports fake news and says he's "looking forward to doing another Terminator movie." He says:

“I don’t want to call it, like, fake news, like the president calls it, but I think people just write things -- I have no idea why. Just because Paramount doesn’t want to pick up the Terminator franchise, you have 15 other studios willing to do it -- that doesn’t mean the Terminator franchise is finished, right? It just means they are on their way to negotiate with another studio, but I can’t give you the details of that. They’ll announce that. But, yes, the Terminator franchise is never finished. And remember that after 2018, James Cameron is getting it back, and then it will continue on!"

That sounds like the good ol' Arnold Schwarzenegger we all know and love! You can read what James Cameron has to say about his plans for the franchise when he gets the rights back here. Before he gets to jump back on board the franchise again, though, producer David Ellison is going to give the project one more push. Apparently, there's a big announcement coming later this year.

One thing's for sure. When a new Terminator movie does get made, it sounds like Schwarzenegger will be back.
