Ben Affleck Confirms His Solo Batman Film Will Be Called THE BATMAN

During a recent interview with the Associated Press promoting his new film, The Accountant, Ben Affleck confirmed that his solo Batman film will be called The Batman, which was rumored in the past. The director/actor does say that the title could change, but as of this moment... "That's what we're going with."

I'm actually pretty pumped up about this movie, mostly because I like this version of Batman, and I think Affleck is a very talented director and storyteller who has full creative control of the project. Then, of course, there are all the rumors going around about the setting and plot of the film.

We've heard that it's mostly going to be an original story that going to be completely crammed with villains. There's also been rumors that the story will be set in Arkham Asylum, which it seems fans would really want to see. There's no doubt that whatever the the story ends up being, it's going to be an intense, action-packed adventure.

The Batman is about a year-and-a-half out from starting production, and we know for sure that it will reunite Affleck with J.K. Simmons who is playing Commission Gordon. I'm looking forward to seeing how this new Batman solo film turns out! There's a good chance that it will be released sometime in 2018.

Speaking in Los Angeles, Ben Affleck reveals that his standalone Batman movie will simply be called "The Batman."
