Breathtaking Trailer For CROUCHING TIGER, HIDDEN DRAGON: SWORD OF DESTINY
Netflix has unleashed a beautifully badass trailer for their upcoming film Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon: Sword of Destiny. The film sees the return of Michelle Yeoh, and it tells an epic story of "lost love, young love, a legendary sword and one last opportunity at redemption" and will feature "breathtaking action in an epic martial arts battle between good and evil that will decide the fate of the Martial World." It's set 20 years after the events of the first movie and follows four heroes who are trying to protect the Green Destiny sword.
The movie was directed by renowned martial arts choreographer Yuen Wo-Ping, who has worked on films such as The Matrix trilogy, Kill Bill Vol. 1 and 2, and Tai Chi Master. Yeoh reprises her role as Yu Shu-Lien in the film and Donnie Yen (Ip Man films) takes on the role of Silent Wolf.
The movie looks pretty freakin' awesome. I'm such a huge fan of the first film, so I'm very excited to see how this next one turns out. It looks like there are going to be some beautifully choreographed fight sequences, and you'll get to see some of them teased in the trailer.
The film will premiere on Netflix on Friday, February 26th, 2016 and will also be released in some IMAX theaters.
