Check Out BREAKING BAD: THE OFFICIAL BOOK

In my opinion, Breaking Bad is the best TV show of all time. Vince Gilligan's five-season transformation of a cancer-stricken sad sack into one of the most badass drug kingpins of all time is one of the best written, best acted shows I've ever seen — not to mention being one of the most beautifully shot, with Michael Slovis' legendary cinematography instantly securing a place at or near the top of the most impressive in TV history.

It's been a couple of years since the show went off the air, but I still vividly remember my reactions to all of the series' biggest moments, including the jaw-dropping "Ozymandias," directed by Star Wars: Episode VIII helmer Rian Johnson, which I consider to be the single best episode of television I've ever witnessed. So when I heard about Breaking Bad: The Official Book, I knew I had to check it out.

If you were an obsessive fan of the show when it was on the air and were the type of person to quickly dive into interviews with the cast, recaps, and speculation after each episode, most of this won't be new information for you — although some of it will be, including an exclusive interview with Gilligan and some fantastic photos from the set. But from images of the Breaking Bad art show at L.A.'s Gallery 1988, to architectural breakdowns of the White house, to a gallery of the show's cars, to getting inside Jesse Pinkman's (Aaron Paul) head, to a deep dive about the props and interviews with producers like Michelle MacLaren, this book has pretty much everything a Breaking Bad fan could want.

Breaking Bad: The Official Book enhanced my appreciation of the series, which I didn't think was possible, and it makes me want to stop everything and watch Bryan Cranston's amazing transformation all over again right now. I'd highly recommend checking it out. Since Father's Day is coming up in a couple of weeks, it would also make a great gift if you dad was a fan of the show.
