COSPLAY BOOM: ORIGINS Fan Doc - Watch Parts 1 and 2

The first two parts of an awesome cosplay documentary have been released for you to watch. The doc is called Cosplay Boom: Origins, and it covers the lives of various cosplayers and how they came to have a passion for creating these amazing costumes. This is a must watch for anyone who enjoys cosplay. One of the things I really like about this is that you get to know a little bit about the people who engulf themselves in this creative and cool world.

Cosplay Boom comes from director and cinematographer Todd Kenreck and producer Megan Sadler. They launched a Kickstarter campaign and achieved their $15,000 dollar goal to fund this fantastic doc. Here’s the project description:

Cosplay Boom is a year-long documentary series exploring the art form and subculture known as cosplay. The series will follow cosplayers around the world as they attend conventions, create their stunning costumes and live their lives.

Fans and supporters will be able to watch this new series at CosplayBoom.com and Cosplay Boom’s video channels on YouTube and DailyMotion for free.

Ultimately, we want to deliver to the world a unique and in-depth look at the fascinating, vibrant and beautiful new art form and community called cosplay. But with travel, equipment and production costs, we’re going to need your help.

This turned out really well, and I hope you enjoy and appreciate what they are doing with this project.

Big things have small beginnings. Cosplayers talk about their lives growing up and how they became the cosplayers that they are today.
